After completing university in 2000, worked in government at the municipal level in Japan for three years before going to China to self-publish and teach Japanese at Yulin Normal University in Guangxi. Established Sanami Online Media originally as a translation and content marketing consulting business and is currently designing mobile applications for Android and iPhone.
In 2006 co-founded Potters Without Borders Association a non-profit organization involved in providing the ceramic water filter technology for rural developing countries without access to safe drinking water.
